Introduction

There are two types of integration and synchronization of Significtic email signatures with Outlook. Whether you have a Microsoft 365 account, or not, Signitic allows you to sync your email signatures in Outlook.

Why use the native integration with Outlook

Synchronizing Signitic with Outlook makes it possible to automatically deploy new signatures to company employees. It also allows automatic updating.

With Microsoft 365, the implementation is transparent for users. No action on their part is required during installation. Every signature change is automatically reported in Gmail.

Without Microsoft 365, the application synchronizes signatures in Outlook on workstations. You can also have synchronized signatures on webmail and on iPhone/iPad.

How does the integration of Signitic with Microsoft 365 work

Signitic's integration with Microsoft 365 is native. It allows you to synchronize email signatures in Outlook directly.

Once activated, With each change on the Signitic platform, the signatures concerned are modified and updated in Outlook, i.e.:

  • On the Outlook application (PC and Mac)
  • On webmail
  • On iOS and Android mobiles

How does the Significtic integration with Outlook work, without Microsoft 365

The Signitic desktop application allows email signatures to be synchronized in Outlook directly.
This Signitic application can be deployed by users. Or deployed by IT teams centrally on workstations, via an MSI file with Intune, a GPO or other protocol.

Once set up, With each change on the Signitic platform, the signatures are modified and updated in Outlook, i.e.:

  • On Outlook on PC
  • On Outlook on Mac
  • On iPhone/iPad if the user has installed it

Integrating with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, what's the difference?

The two synchronizations are different and completely separate and technically airtight. They don't have the same role.

  • Native integration with Microsoft 365 allows you to deploy email signatures in Outlook. It can be activated at any time, on a user perimeter of their choice. This is defined at the scope level from your Microsoft 365 tenant.

  • Native integration with Entra ID (ex: Azure AD) allows you to read information from the directory (user groups, user groups, names, first names, emails, etc.) and to display this information in the email signatures of employees. A change in the directory is therefore automatically reported. The creation and removal of users as well.

Here are two concrete examples to illustrate the difference, and the benefits of independent synchronizations.

Concrete example 1 :
You can add or import a user file and activate synchronization with Microsoft 365, to deploy email signatures, without activating synchronization with the Entra ID directory.

Concrete example 2 :
You can activate sync with Entra ID, and retrieve users on your Signitic account, without effectively deploying email signatures in Outlook. This allows you to wait for the right moment to deploy them.
